Offshore Middle East has received excellent support from the oil and gas operating companies, demonstrating the appeal and need for such an event.
The major operators BP, Shell, Total and Chevron are all providing their support and sponsorship of this new and innovative event, that aims to provide a forum for sharing experiences and exchanging ideas in the offshore industry of the Middle East.

PennWell Corp and Qatar Petroleum have announced the launch of Offshore Middle East Conference & Exhibition, taking place 28 – 30 October 2008 at the new Qatar International Exhibition Center in Doha, Qatar. Offshore Middle East will be held under the Patronage of H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Premier & Minister for Energy & Industry & Chairman, Qatar Petroleum.
Hosted by Qatar Petroleum, working with the event owner & producer, PennWell, Offshore Middle East will address key technology and development issues for the Middle Eastern offshore oil and gas market with a comprehensive educational program and three-day exhibition. This event will bring new focus to the Middle Eastern oil & gas market, which has recently grown to surpass the Gulf of Mexico for active rigs.
Offshore Middle East will play an important role in the expanding market of the Middle East, with Qatar, a country at the centre of the offshore oil and gas markets in the Middle East and some of the largest offshore projects in the region, playing the ideal host for the inaugural event.
